Monaco is the November Vacation of my Dreams

Monaco is situated not too far from the place where my friends have their summer flat. When I visited them for the first time about 25 years ago, they wanted to show me all the most interesting places and Monaco was among them. We travelled with the car, and there were the custom barriers in that period. I had the permission to stay only in Italy and could not pass the border, normally. But we found one place where the customs officers did not look at the passes (even if the first time I laid on the seat under the coat).This way we passed every afternoon and evening abroad.



One evening we were near the famous casino of Monaco and wanted to enter inside. Together with the very beautiful women with evening dresses. :-) that went out from Aston Martins cabriolets... Do you think, it was unpossible to enter there? No, we could enter without any problem in the main hall. But it was only a beautiful building... The entrance of the casino was in that main hall. Clearly, we could not enter there without special evening clothes.
Monaco was so beautiful in the daytime and in the evening, and I was so much impressed by it's beauty...I thought, it is the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life (betraying my love for Saint Petersburg).

I would like to visit Monaco once more. But NOW, in this period. Do you know, why? Because they have the most important feast on Nov. 19 and it will be the fireworks show in the evening. They say that those fireworks are the most beautiful in Europe. I would like to see this show...

Monaco -My Love

The place I loved more than other among those I was fortunate to visit in my life was without any doubts Monaco/ Monte Carlo (Principality of Monaco). Surely, the reason why I remembered it nnow is the wedding of it's Prince. But I don't want to remember the new sad princess. It's because I was very impressed of this beautiful land.

It seemed to occupy so little piece of soil! And it was the country everybody without taxes, where all the residents have so many freedoms.The houses grow high there. Over the houses, there are gardens and pools: on the roofs and terraces.  The shops do not expose prices there. They say, it's because the clients do not think about the prices there. They see something beautiful, enter and take it. The most impressive was the part where is situating the institute of Oceanography. At that time, the director was very famous in our country Jacques-Yves Cousteau

The beautiful gardens and  squares, the beautiful women and the cars I've never seen from that time... Everything was interesting and worth the visit. So, I can advise everybody to visitr this little country.

Ohhh... Monaco...

Monaco is one of the most interesting o beautiful places I've ever visited in my life. I think about it from time to time with nostalgia and dream to have the possibility to go there more often.

I went there with my friends and we wanted to see the most important places: the palace of princes, built in XIII century, the Oceanographic Institute, the prison .. :-) don't laugh, it's in a fantastic place near the garden for the children.

The harbour has nothing tooo interesting except the possibility to see the underwater life of the port. There was a ship with windows at underwater level. It was a rarity at that times. But the price was too high for us, 300 francs (I think) for person.

The town is very nice, there is not soil because there are only rocks and houses everywhere, but there are gardens and pools on the roofs and terraces.

Why I liked it so much? Maybe because it's a carefully created by princes "fable" about this principality. If you think about it, you will surely agree, we have a very romantique imagination abut this place. A legend, a fable.

A real fable we've seen in the evening for the old casino of Monte Carlo. Incredible cars arrived for the entrance and the women wearing long ball dresses went out these cars and entered the building. I've never seen such cars and clothes in real life more.
